The process of feeding
Pre-realization. Pascal has yet to discover that he is hungry.
Realization stage 1. Nothing big, but baby feels the first pangs of hunger.
Realization stage 2. Baby will try to eat his hand.
Notification Stage 1: Baby is letting mother know about hunger in a fairly timid/friendly way.
Notification Stage 2 (frustration): Baby has come to terms that the mother thinks previous stage was simple play.
Notification Stage 3 (screaming): Nothing needs to be said here.
